Over the weekend my plan was to try on different combinations of things in my closet so I would have less to stress about in the morning when picking out at outfit. I purchased The No Brainer Wardrobe from Hayley Morgan and I got so excited about making my closet look good and making it easier for me to get dressed. I bought a bunch of wooden hangers and only hung items I actually do wear. I didn’t really get around to trying much on but I did decide to throw on a scarf with a navy dress before heading to a birthday party.I met my boyfriend at his volleyball game and when we were leaving all dressed up and driving away on a motorcycle I guess someone decided it was picture worthy. I’m glad they did, I love the photo!

So I’ve mentioned that this is my birthday month and I’ve also mentioned that my handmade business is turning one at the end of the month. Now to share something a bit silly but really quite exciting for considering how I was managing before. I just bought my first jewelry power tool! I had put this off for sometime liking the idea that my hands were doing 100% of the jewelry work I was doing. I realized that my hand drill was really doing me no favors. It’s really a 2 person tool so when I used it by myself I would have to hold the end under my chin while awkwardly leaning over my work and slowing drill a tiny hole. It was bad for my back, neck, arms, probably my whole body. So I caved and I bought a drill press. IT HAS BEEN WONDERFUL. I mark my holes, walk them over to my hand drill press, turn it on, and pull down the lever. One, two, three, four holes, it’s that fast. I love it and my back, neck, chin all have thanked me.
