I mentioned last week that I was heading to Blissdom. It was quite the whirlwind and since getting back I’ve had little time to reflect on what I took away from the weekend. I’ve yet to finish unpacking and I’m heading out again tomorrow for Utah. Oh my! Here are a few photos from my trip (there are more on my new fancy camera but I need to get a card reader before I can share).
Yeah! I’ve gotten some requests for Haiti recently, one for the regular sized pendants I make ( I love the way it turned out!). I also got a message from my adorable cousin who has volunteered so much of her time in Haiti to make her the tiny version. I may be a little partial to the tiny version. What do you think?
I have a pretty awesome travel tip, well I think it’s pretty great and I hope you agree. When traveling I like to take along my own shampoo, face wash, face lotion, and so on. Well all these things in little bottles start to add up when you are wanting to take a carry on only and have to limit yourself to 3 oz containers that all fit inside a quart sized plastic bag. My solution: CONTACT CASES! I came about this solution because:
1. I do have contacts
2. I get a new contact case every time I buy contact solution and visit the eye doctor (so I had accumulated quite a few)
3. I was always in search of the perfect sized traveling containers for my liquids and
4. They don’t leak! After all they are meant to hold contact solution without it leaking out everywhere.
So now when I travel I use about 2 contact cases with my face wash, face lotion (both night and day), perhaps a face mask, and most recently I put conditioner in one since I only needed a small amount. In the past I have also added eye make up remover, toner, just think of the possibilities! Plus they fit inside that small bag so much better with my shampoo, small bottle of contact solution, a tiny hairspray. All of this makes me very happy! I also use this solution when I’m not flying because it just saves so much space and I love that! If this is helpful please let me know. Also I would love to know any travel tips you have.
