When I saw what Casey, Danielle, and Alycia had planned I got super excited! My birthday is this month so what better way to celebrate than to share a little gift with someone else (ok and get a little gift back). I messaged that I would like to participate straight away. I waited patiently to get my blog parter and start snooping for ideas and to make a new friend.

A few days later I received my message that I was paired up with Lisa of ourhomemadehappiness. Soon after, Lisa message me so we could start to get to know each other. One of the first things I found out was that Lisa also shares a January birthday!! Isn’t that so cool! I was so excited and I think it rubbed off on her. She said she doesn’t usually make a big deal on her birthday because she doesn’t like the attention. I said most of the time I don’t either but on my birthday and, well, for the whole month of January I make a big deal because I deserve it, we all do. I think she took my advice and that made me smile. One of the other things I found out is that Lisa lives in Newfoundland, Canada so it was unlikely our packages would reach each other in time for today. I said never mind about that, I will appreciate it no matter when it arrives. I decided I would list the things I discovered we have in common through our emails and her blog. I can update later when the package arrives.

So here is goes:

-we both love to bake

-we are both quite crafty

-we both have January birthdays

-we both love to knit

-we both sew (but I think she’s got me beat)

-we both love nail polish

-we both have way more projects we would like to complete than there is time

I enjoyed messaging back and forth and I can’t wait until she gets my package in the mail! I’m also pretty excited for mine to arrive.
