Remember how I mentioned we went to Dallas for the weekend? Walker had some business and I had about 5 hours to occupy myself. I was pretty excited to explore on my own and take myself out for a date. I had a couple of maps, some cash, and my camera. I found the city center pretty easily by taking the light rain downtown. I used my maps to find the Dallas aquarium which turned out to be quite easy. Before I went in I made a few calls to tell my parents about the exciting news I can’t share just yet. Soon I promise! By the time I went inside about 5 buses of school children had arrived. It was a bit tricky getting around but I was patient and enjoyed myself quite a bit. The animals and underwater life were so fascinating. After a couple of hours I had lunch. I still had about 2 hours to fill so I decided to move onto the Dallas Institute of Art. After the bus loads of children surrounding me the art museum was a welcomed relief. It was so quiet and calm. I really enjoyed the rock that looked like it had lips and one little room that was filled with dishware (I had a bit of an obsession with antique and vintage dishware). When Walker called to pick me up I was more than ready to head out. My feet were so tired! I’m not used to walking so much. It was a very lovely date I took myself on though.
Love your photo of the waterfal at the aquarium.
Thank you! I had such a great time there!
