Some sushi

March 6, 2013

I had a long day today. I made an appointment with a tax man and he was located about an hour away by bus. Since we don’t have a car here this was my option. I spent about an hour with the tax man and left with my taxes done but knowing I needed to send in a big ol check to the IRS-fun. Then I had to ride the bus back home. After my big day I decided I would like to unwind with some sushi. I have been wanting to try some here for a while now and today seemed like the perfect day. I couldn’t decide between two but since they were about a block apart Walker suggested we try them both. Ha! Perfect. Why didn’t I think of that? It was a nice way to end the day.

So I think next week I may write up a little post about taxes. I often see the fun side of things in the blogging/handmade business world but sometimes we have to get down to the nitty gritty. I’ll share some of what I’ve learned, what’s been helpful, what I could improve, and whatever else might be useful. Sounds exciting, right? Well no but informative, yes.

28 days of hair

March 4, 2013

Remember my earlier post about my January (red) lips? I mentioned that for the month of February I was going to be styling my hair differently every day and I did! I found inspiration in pinterest, on the street, in movies and shows, and around the webs. The excitement came in waves. Some days I had so much fun and tried multiple styles and other days I got a little sick of styling it and wanted to do nothing at all. I made it through though. I did find quite a few new dos that I love and will be doing again for the upcoming wedding season (we have 4 this year).

Most of the these styles I chose because they worked really well with fine and straight hair so if you have similar hair I highly suggest a few of these. I hope you find some you styles. If you do let me know! I’d love to hear. Or maybe you have some I can try. Even though February is over I am still on the lookout for fun new styles.
