I got a request for a Nova Scotia necklace recently and I loved getting to make a new shape. It’s always interesting to make a country for the first time and see it take on a personality all it’s own. I hope it is well worn and enjoyed.

September project complete

september project

Last month for my daily project I chose to take a picture a day of something that was one basic color. It was fun looking for colors as I took my daily walks or while hanging around the house. I especially like how the collage turned out. It’s so full of texture and color and some nice neutrals too.

Last month I sort of touched on why it’s fun to have these monthly projects and the reason I gave was because it helps me to slow down and little and enjoy what’s around me and it makes me stop for a few moments of a day to be fully conscious of something (even if it’s a little silly).

This month I’ve decided to drink tea everyday. I chose this for a few reasons:

-it’s getting colder so drinking tea everyday sounds warming
-I have a crazy stash of tea and it should be used
-to make myself slow down a little at least once during the day
-maybe also because tea is good for me?

Anyhow whatever the reasons are that’s my October project and it’s super easy to join in-just drink tea everyday!

This weekend we had the most amazing weather in Seattle. It was sunny all day Saturday and Sunday. Walker and I took full advantage of it and we even more glad that we chose a place with a backyard. We made brunch and headed out back to enjoy our meal in the sun. Then we had some back yard work planned to straighten out our little patch of land. These are a glimpse of the yard before we’ve done any work. Even though it’s a bit untidy it sure it nice to have.

I’m thinking maybe some pumpkin carving is in order? Care to join me?
