Thanksgiving recap

December 2, 2013

After a long drive down to Eugene, OR it was so nice to arrive and be greeted by our friends. We stayed up chatting for a little while before we all got so tired we had to go to bed. Then we were up early the next morning to start preparing our feast! There was a turkey fried again this year and we were much less scared than last year that we would light all the things on fire.

We also thought a wine flight would be fun with our meal so Walker took the time to set everything up and there was just enough room left for our plates.

The meal turned out wonderfully and we enjoyed the food and wine while chatting with our friends and their neighbors who we were just meeting for the first time. It was very lovely.

Of course we were all stuffed but we decided the best thing to do was take their dog to the park and get some fresh air and get a little walk in before lying down for the rest of the day. Ha!

We ended the evening with football, naps for everyone, and a long board game that put us right to bed. I would say Thanksgiving 2013 with friends was a success.

Happy thankgiving!

I am thankful for…(november project)

November 27, 2013

This month I sort of failed to choose a monthly project. I had a thought that I should mention things I’m thankful for each day but almost as soon as I thought that I forgot that. Luckily I have a second chance to complete my monthly project but I’m going to condense it into one day. I’m making the rules and I say it’s ok. Also I want to be part of a fun link-up party!
Thankful Link Up

1. Walker (for everything he does and his constant patience with me and his support of everything I do).

5. Almost 3 years in business.
6. Finally an extra room for a studio!
7. Our new place that is quiet during the day so that I have been much for productive in the last few months than I have in a long time.
