My dad got our vintage bikes all tuned up in preparation for out Mackinac Island trip-can’t wait! We took them out for a shake down cruise and biked 3 miles into town for ice cream. We then biked to the park and sat by the water while Mago played in it. Then we biked home. It was fun and felt like simpler times. I love where I live.
I got to hang out with some of my very good friends this past week! They live in Chicago so it’s hard to get together but I had the good fortune of being around while they were around so it worked out perfectly.
We had Mexican food, margaritas, and stopped by the reopened brewery in town. Mostly we just enjoyed catching up, laughing, and taking lots of pictures of things and each other. It’s nice having friends who also enjoy taking pictures (although I think Sarah might be a tab bit better at it-wink). I miss them again already.
As I mentioned in my last post I have been traveling around and taking my work on the go. That means sometimes I forget things, things like my camera chord. Then I realized I could upload iphone photos (which I’ve yet to do). Hello?! This way my posts don’t have to be photo less. Yeah! I’ll be sharing just a few photos of my life lately but I would like to share a bit more once I do get that camera chord…
Anyhow between all of my summer adventures I’ve been working hard. It makes it easier when I have a large mug of ice tea with maple syrup in it. mmm. My dad has a few large things of maple syrup in the fridge and I’ve been putting it in everything. It’s the best. What’s your favorite summer drink?
