I barely had a day of rest until I was off again! This time I headed to Mackinac Island with my dad and Mago. We biked around the island (taking many rest and water breaks for Mago), explored the hotel grounds (where most of Somewhere in Time was filmed-one of my all time favorite movies), took a short nap, had a picnic in the park, walked around the downtown, saw the sunset, swam in the pool, watched the stars from the lawn, and….took a near midnight bike ride to try out our vintage bike lights (they work great by the way!). Wow! What a day! I was extremely tired by the end of the day.

The next day we took it easy compared to the previous day. We sat out on the big lawn and enjoyed the beautiful morning, checked out of the hotel, explored the shops and I got my required chocolate covered strawberries. mmm. Then we headed out back on the ferry to the mainland. It was a fun day and a half but I’m also looking forward to taking it easy for the next few days (other than the large number of orders that need to be mailed-it’s a good thing I love what I do).
