New packaging revealed!

November 5, 2012

Yeah! I’m so excited to share this new packaging with you! It’s been in the works for quite some time and I was finally able to see it all come together this weekend. (Just in time for the holidays-hehe)

I recently came up with the logo design and it took some time to turn it digital so I could get it printed as a stamp. I’m really happy with the way it turned out. I got 4 stamps made in total. A large logo stamp for my thank you/care cards. A smaller logo stamp for the top of the jewelry boxes. The story of _____ by OhSoAntsy stamp is for the bags that everything goes into. I also got my blog address turned into a stamp for both the back of the jewelry boxes and also the mailing envelope. I think it makes the boxes look even more professional and I just love it! I had so much fun stamping everything.

In case you’re wondering where these adorable stamps are from the company is called Simon Stamp. I’ve used them for a while now for all my stamping needs and I’ve been really pleased. I personally chose to go with the wooden handle stamps for a more vintage feel but they have a lot of different options.

What do I use on my face?

November 2, 2012

Not a lot. Ha! I like to keep it relatively simple which makes it more likely that I will put makeup on before leaving the house (which I don’t every day). It’s taken me awhile to findĀ  products that I really like but are also really good for my face.

I don’t have the best skin so it’s been a mission of mine for the last few years to find makeup that wouldn’t make the problem worse. I started seeing a really great facialist in Austin (if you want her name message me) and she introduced me to Jane Iredale makeup. What really sold me was when she said it was healthy enough for the skin that you could put it on right after a facial and not have any problems! Woo! I started out with the foundation. It does a great job of evening out the skin tone without being too heavy and icky feeling.

After a while I got the powder blush to add a bit of color to my face. I then added the mascara. I love the smoothness with which it goes on and I think the tube design is quite clever.

I recently got a few samples from them to try out and I fell in love with the Just Kissed cheek and lip stain. The night I got the samples in the mail I put it on and drove Walker crazy going on and on about it. It gave me the perfect sun kissed look. The color is so subtle again but so pretty. I love makeup that brings out the beauty that is already there. What you see is really healthy looking skin and not makeup. Most days I top my look off with a neutral lip stick but some days I go a little on the bold side with a bright red (MAC lipstick).

What’s do you wear on your face? Do you have a favorite product you’d like to share?

Happy 1st of November! We’re on the homestretch to the holidays and things seem to be picking up! I’ve been reaching out to some fellow bloggers and handmade business owners and it’s been really inspiring and motivating. My to-do list is dwindling down (probably just to get larger) and it feels great! I feel ready for the holidays! I think…

There are so many wet, fall leaves all over the ground.

Making more bitters.

A cocktail made with the previous bitters.

Walker and I over the weekend out exploring.

A really fun custom order I worked on recently. I will be sharing more on this soon.
