Necklace sets!

November 29, 2012

In order to make the holiday shopping a little easier I set up a couple of listings to simplify things should you decide you’d like 2 charms on 1 chain. There are 2 options:

1. 2 tiny charms (you have your choice of 2 states, 2 countries, or 1 of each)

2. 2 regular sized charms on 1 chain (you have your choice of 2 states, 2 countries, or 1 of each)

These would be great gifts for a friend who is trying to make a new home someplace while missing their home state. A mom who’s kids are spread around the country or world. For yourself to reflect where your family is from and where you live now. You choose the reasons and the charms and I”ll do the rest!

Adventure along the coast

November 28, 2012

Walker and I got back from Oregon on Saturday night but we didn’t have to return the car until Sunday afternoon. Woo! We decided to wake up super early on Sunday and have an adventure!

First off it was the foggiest I’ve ever seen it here when we left in the morning. Second we soon discovered that the Seattle marathon was happening that morning and our original destination was blocked. We weren’t able to cross over the water. After driving around through town a little frustrated we headed north. I did some quick searching and we chose to drive up to the Chuckanut Drive and check out the coast.

Between the ribbons of fog the scenery was pretty wonderful. We kept going oh wow, look at that. We stopped a couple of times to check things out and after a while decided we better turn around and head back to the city.

I got caught in a sneeze-thanks Walker.

Fun in oregon

November 27, 2012

It was so much fun to get away for a bit. We had such a great time visiting with our friends and I really enjoyed being out of the city. I joked with Walker that he should just leave me in Eugene.

They took us for a tour of the University of Oregon (where one goes to law school and the other works). The campus was so pretty. What I was super excited to see was Hayward field. The field that Steve Prefontaine ran on. I remember watching the movie about him back in high school back when I was running track and it stuck with me.

Later that weekend we also made it to a winery with the most beautiful views and ended up touring a local brewery in the evening. Nice safety goggles! Ha!

On our way back to Seattle I insisted we pick apples at an orchard I found despite the rain and mud. Now what do to with all those apples?
