Yesterday I mentioned I am participating in a mail exchange. This months theme is the world is your oyster. I brainstormed some ideas for diys and one of them was cork coasters (they can also be used for mini wall art).

For the project I used:

-a large piece of cork
-acrylic paint
-chalkboard paint (not pictured)
-paintbrushes

First I cut 4 squares from the larger piece of cork and then I decided on 3 different images to paint on each one and I decided to paint the 4th with chalkboard paint so that little messages could be written on it between uses.

I chose to paint a lobster, an anchor, and some nautical buoys. On the chalkboard coaster I wrote the theme of the package. I love how the set turned out and I was temped to make my own set since I had so much fun painting them all.
