Birthday at the Greenbelt

The other weekend we went to the greenbelt for my friends birthday gathering. Even though it was an overcast day I was determined to get in the water and show off my new suit! We had a fun time catching tadpoles in all the little pools. I thought they had a crazy swirl pattern on their bellies until I realized it was just their guts. It’s still neat looking. I gave my friend her picnic placemat and we both got to use them for the first time. Our other friend brought his beautiful dog along and I love this picture of her so alert waiting for something to chase after (mostly butterflies).

 

Our Easter

For Easter Sunday we met up with Walker’s parents for brunch at Eastside Cafe here in Austin. It was so delicious! I was pretty happy with my decision to get crepes with a side of bacon and grits. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it. Later on we went to the house of my coworker and enjoyed the pretty wonderful weather we were having while sitting out in her backyard. It’s her annual Easter party and it’s quite the event. I’ve made a lot of friends attending her holiday gatherings and I always have a good time.

(My new sandals! They were the perfect Easter shoe, I love the color.)

Happy 50th Birthday Dad!!!

My dad turns 50 today! He never wants anything and this year I really didn’t get him anything but what I thought would be nice since I can’t celebrate with him is dedicate today’s post to him! I don’t know if he’ll be celebrating much, he said he doesn’t like to, but give him a shout out in the comments if it moves you! Wow half a century hey there dad?! Woo! I hope you have a great day and we can celebrate together next time I’m home! This first one is of my dad dancing with Walker at my sister’s wedding. hahaha! Love you dad!
