May project: to you, my readers

May 27, 2013

It’s day 27 in the blog every day in May challenge. Today the prompt is: A letter to your readers.

Dear readers (friends),
I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciate having you here. It’s been so fun sharing parts of my life and work with you and I’m grateful that you continue to come back to see what I’m up to. I want to be sure though that you know what I share is only a snippet of what goes on. My stories almost always have more details than I share and most of the time I leave out the yucky stuff because I like to keep things on the brighter side if you will. That’s what has been so fun about this May challenge. I’ve been able to share a little bit more about myself in a deeper way. I’ve really been enjoying it and it has me thinking about changes I might want to make with my blog in general. I suppose we’ll see together if that’s what happens. In the meantime I just want to thank you again for stopping by and I look forward to growing and changing together.

Love, Jessica

a michigan wedding

A good friend of mine back from my community college days got married last weekend (that is why I went home in the first place). It was so fun seeing familiar faces and catching up with old friends from way back when.DSC_2311

Remembering our cinco de mayo fiesta!

I’m finally getting around to sharing some pictures of the Cinco de Mayo party we went to. Our good friends were co hosting it with another couple. The party was a little more interesting due to the fact that the power went out in the building where we were all gathering. So we had to navigate completely dark stairways to get the the apartment. Luckily it was sunny out so our party wasn’t in the dark.

After food and some trivia we headed to the courtyard outside where the pinata was destroyed and where we could enjoy the warmth. Near the end of the party a few of us played pin the tail on the donkey and had a few good laughs. I think Walker was cheating a little bit with his leg us like that. Oh well, it was a good afternoon.
