A couple of weekends ago we had our first free weekend here in Seattle. Either I’d been gone or we had both been gone but we were excited to finally be in town. It also happened to be beautiful weather (it seems like we’ve been getting a lot of that lately).

We met up with friends of ours and headed to a Seattle park that none of us had been to yet. It was so beautiful and luckily, since it was sunny, we got to see the mountains surrounding us. We explored the beach and then played games in the lawn.

After the park we kept the party going by wandering around the annual Yulefest for a taste of Nordic Christmas, we played a board game at the game store, then we ended the night with burgers, beer, and skee ball! It was a very good day indeed.
