the business cards of alt: part 1

Remember how I told you I went to ALT in January? I’m finally getting around to sharing the amazing and beautiful cards I collected during the event. I went with 200 and I left with none so I collected nearly that many. I loved seeing everyone recap their favorite cards but I had a plan of attack for mine and it was more about connection (writing follow up emails-which I’m still doing) than focusing on curating the cards to my blog. Although I do have an idea for that coming soon I hope.

I’ll be posting at least one or two more business cards posts because I didn’t want to overwhelm you. The talent at the event was truly amazing so I’m sure if you are looking for inspiration, diys, design ideas, fashion tips, hair tips, sewing patterns, recipes, or just new blogs to read you will find it all and more below. Last day in SLC

Once the conference was over there were still quite a few people I wanted to chat with and say bye to. Luckily there was an informal conversation room set up where I got to do just that. I met a few new people and said bye to some friends I made during the conference such as Bobby.

After I had said my goodbyes I had to find my way to the Sundance Film Festival ticket booth to pick up my movie ticket for later that afternoon. I was excited to have enough time before I flew out to see a movie so that I could say I’ve been to Sundance. How fun! I chose Infinitey Polar Bear directed by Maya Forbes. The movie itself was emotional but I think after all the information and connections I made at ALT I was especially sensitive and basically cried throughout the entire movie-even during the Q&A after the movie with Maya and her husband. Needless to say I really enjoyed it.

After the movie I had enough time to grab my bags, head to the airport, get a little snack and a beer, and chat with Moorea Seal at the gate before heading back to Seattle. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful trip.
