June project complete

July 2, 2013

For the month of June my project was to take a picture of something every day that made me smile. If you’re just joining, this project is a part of a year long project (12 monthly projects) to do something every month and document it in some way. For the most part that’s been taking pictures but for the month of May it was blogging every day! Phew!

May project complete

June 5, 2013

So if you’ve been following along you know about my monthly projects. If not I am choosing a different topic each month and doing something ever day. Up until May it involved some sort of picture a day. In May I discovered the blog every day in May challenge and decided that would be a perfect choice for May and a great way to join in with the blog community.

Through it I was introduced to another northwest blogger and she has been diligent in leaving comments and I absolutely love it! If you want to go back and read some of the entries search May project in the side bar (or just scroll through).

For June I have decided to take a picture a day of something that makes me happy. It should be quite a breeze compared to digging deep for some of the blog posts in May. Want to join? Take a picture a day or just leave a comment with something that is making you happy right now.

April project: take a picture of a tree a day

May 7, 2013

If you’ve been reading along you know I’ve been working on my 12 month project. Basically I choose something each month to do every day of that particular month.

For April I chose to take a picture of a tree outside of my window every day and when the month was over to make a “video” of all the pictures. I wanted to show how it changed slowly throughout the spring which it did but I could have done it better. Walker said to really get the effect I was going for I should have set up a tripod and taken the picture at the same time every day. Well this is real life folks and I didn’t want a tripod in front of the largest window in our place for the whole month. Also things come up or I’m out of town and can’t get the same shot every day. Also I don’t have super fancy equipment to program so this is what we get! I think it’s just fine!

When May 1st rolled around I was trying to decide what my project would be when I discovered this blog. Jenni over at Story of My Life was doing a blog every day in May challenge! Well how about that! This way I could continue my project but also get involved a bit with the blogging community. Kind of a win win hey? So for this month my project will be live as I’ll be, have been, blogging every day with jenni’s prompts. I’m also still doing some regular blog posts. Enjoy! I hope to hear from you and maybe if you don’t blog you can follow along in the comments.
